Batam Family Trip

We're back from Batam!!! Actually first time went Batam, and it's with my family including my baby!

It's a nice weekend of the sun, sand, and sea..

lazing around in the pool, by the sea, having nice seafood, and the time spent with our loved ones..Stayed at Batam View Resort, which was not too bad, Nice resort, nice swimming pool, though the beach was a little disappointing cos it's all sort of sheltered from the rest.

Oh, and we had a hilarious time at the seafood restaurant, took the dinner set of a few courses and it's so amazing.. 7 prawns for 6 people?!?! 2 small tiny black pepper crabs?!?! and the dinner set cost about $20 per pax.. Nevertheless, the dinner is superb.

A Wonderful Birthday

Thank you baby for the wonderful birthday surprise u have planned for me. Firstly, baby came and fetch me. Without saying anything, he made me board the cab with him and the next thing i realised is that we are at Mount Faber.

Hee.. Baby treated me to a cable car ride to Sentosa

He brought losta food and we are going to have a picnic at Siloso Beach. Yeah.. It's my first time to a picnic. We found a shady spot and we started our feast. We made sandwiches and salad for each other.

It was really fun and enjoyable. It is really a hot day!! A super icy cold coke is the best remedy for the hot sun. Haha.. And because of the coke, poor baby walked a very far distance and realised he hasn't got enough coins for the vending machine. :( So in the end, bought a bottle while on the way back from toilet after I changed into my 2 pcs tankini and started sun tanning.

We fight for the bottle of coke and finished the coke in like less than 5 mins. Fast rite?? Anyway, we continued with our picnic after sun tanning. But this time, we chose a sheltered corner as we don't want to get dirty again.

Our picnic lasted till about late afternoon and we went vivocity - Kim Gary for dinner.

The day ended of with a stroll at the viewing platform at vivocity. I really enjoyed myself. It is definitely a memoriable one for me. Thank you baby!!

1st Year Anniversary

10th December 2008

Our 1st Year Anniversary :)

The day started off with me trying to be "hiao" and to match my outfit for the day. So ended up I decided to wear heels to work. And guess wat? I ended up having blisters and wear slippers out for our celebration. Hahaha.. Our first stop is to PS, Cafe Cartel for dinner. I had cripsy pork chop while baby had St. Louis pork ribs. Yummy yummy!!

Following that we went Clarke Quay. Strolled and sat at the steps in front of the river. Such a romantic scene. We presented to each other our first year present. I've prepared a postcard, on which, written all my feelings and thoughts for baby and a pack of Hershey's Kisses. Each piece you eat, is like a kiss from me to you. Please share that pack of Hershey's Kisses with me too. :p As for me, baby bought me a book. "Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus" Thank you baby! "Our seeds of love was planted a year ago.. Let this book be the sunshine to nurture our love seedling.." I'll never forget this phrase created by my dearest baby. So nice of you.

The ending finale is a drink at "The Tapas Tree". That is also the place where we went one year ago on our first date. And we are sitting on the same seat we sat one year ago. :) We shared a glass of "Sex on the beach" (S.O.T.B.) which we call in short. Memories of our first date flashed back. Chatted for a while and that's the end of our 1st year anniversary celebration. Enjoyed myself very much. Thank you baby. Love you.

Cameron Highlands & Ipoh

A whole busload of Lims and family just conquered Cameron Highlands! Very exciting, so many people travelling together on a get-away trip, with the noisy small little kids, small adults and even old uncles and aunties who entertained us on the way with their karaoke singing (think the old adults are even happier than the younger ones) haa..

It's really a nice place to go.. Relaxing life there, nice cooling weather all round the year, and the delicous food with very sour tasting sambal in a nice way

The rooms at Equatorial Hotel gives us a 5-star feeling and it's definitely worthwhile staying there

We went to Rose Valley where there're flowers of all colours and Cactus Valley with all the funny looking shapes of "porcupines"

and the not-so-great strawberry farm where the strawberrys are so sparse and growing in pots, ending up never go pick strawberrys.. and so, we just bought the baby cactuses home to bi xie

The pasar malam sells a lot of fresh vegetables and other small soveniors and accessories, and they have the sweetest corn I ever tasted.. Yummy.. And just knew that Ah Long can never resist the Ramly burger.. Haha =)

After 2 nights in Cameron, we went down to Ipoh where the weather was drastically worse.. Hot and humid.. So much like Singapore.. =( Visited some caves and temples there and took pictures with Yue Lao. Baby, surely yue lao will bless us with blissful happiness =)

Bumped into Ai-yo-yo Chen Liping at one of the tu chan shop on the way back.. And all the aunties went crazy like those young xiao mei mei fans. Haha.. So funny!!
