Visit Longshan Temple in the morning before the shops are open for some last min shopping at Ximenting

Had lunch at the Modern Toilet Restaurant. We were there not for the food but for the experience of eating from toilet bowls and drinking from potties. It doesn’t feels disgusting, until u have used their real toilet. Haha.

Large crowd shopping at Ximenting due to it being the weekend, can see many Taiwanese really dressed up in their very best.

Had a wonderful time in Taiwan, with a great variety of good food along the streets and night markets, cheap nice clothings and shopping experience at Wu Fen Pu, and not forgetting the friendliness on display by the locals. how we wish we have such experiences in our kiasu and everything law-by-law country
we'll definitely be back again!

we had unfinished business at Yangmingshan, so made a trip there again. took a cab up cos the last trip was damn tiring to stand on the bus while it winds its way up to the top. Went to Xiao you keng to view the geyser with piping hot steam from the ground.

Then we wanted to have a bath at the Lengshuikeng public hot spring pool, but had the shock of our lives! Inside the gender separated bathrooms were all censored stuffs!

You can imagine the scene with 20 over pple in a small bathroom... For ur info, clothes are not allowed in the pools due to hygiene reasons... and see the granny behind, we believe the good complexion is due to frequent bathing at the hot spring!

We had a cartoon portrait done at Danshui and had lots of fun at many of the stall games. Over there, baby fell in love with the Ah Gei dish.

At nite, we went to Shida NM. Super crowded cos the path between opposite stalls is very narrow and the place is near to Shida University. It was a tough night to negotiate our way thru the crowd, which we compensated by having alot of good food there. haha. then it's back to the hotel to pack our luggage for way back :(

the day is planned for another trip to Wu Fen Pu, so enroute we had a tour at the 86th storey of Taipei 101. Took the world’s fastest elevator up to the open deck and it’s freezing cold with the strong winds! 1010 metres per min.. wow

It was a long walk at Yangmingshan National Park. There are feeder bus services in the National Park itself, but we spent like hald an hour wasting for one which never comes. Quite frustrating with the infrequent public transport there too. but with the sight of many cherry blossom tress in bloom, we're glad we made it all the way there. Oh, and there’s a big crowd there as the Yangmingshan Flower Season is due to open the following day

full blossom

Very nice place to have a picnic under all the cherry blossom trees in bloom

We got to see calla lily fields as well since it’s the bloom season for these flowers now. at first i still thought this "Hai Yu" is something like a sea of clouds. haa

the views at Qingtiangang were simply breathtaking. We felt like we were standing at the top of the world. Fresh air, lush grasslands, mountain top views, what more could we ask?

Made it in time for the camera timer. That explains why I still have grass on my elbows and the funny posture

phew. Made it before timer

This has to be one of our favourite picture. A long path leading to the mountains with no one in sight to spoil the pic. Pathway to heaven perhaps?

Oh, and we had beef noodles at Taoyuan St for dinner before getting Ah Zong and others for supper. hee!

The hot spring areas in Taipei can be found in Yangmingshan, Beitou, and Wulai. Itching for a hot spring bath, we came to Beitou in the morning. A natural hot spring quarry there is Hell’s Valley

hell’s valley

Experienced the public hot spring pool at Beitou. Filled with obba-sans and ojii-sans!!! quite scary for us first-timers there. haha! obba-san and ojii-san go hot spring about twice a week for a healthier body, better blood circulation and better skin. They are all of grandpa and grandma ages but their skin is soooo nice. :)

spent the afternoon at Danshui and Fisherman's Wharf . One interesting place Unusual Things Museum, where many exhibits are unusual and sometimes scary as well. Of cos, the Danshui Old Street is famed for its many good food also.

brr.. it’s cold Took a ferry from Danshui old street to Fisherman Wharf. the lights of the iconic bridge at 渔人码头 is ever changing, and makes a romantic place for couples to have a nice seafood dinner and a stroll.

It started to drizzle a little and coupled with the strong winds, we had to scramble for our winter clothing.. out comes the gloves and thick jackets! brr… and if i say it's cold, it’s really very very cold!!!

dinner was settled at Shilin Night Market, without saying we went for the Hao Da Da chicken cutlet. Same size as baby’s face!!! And mango strawberry ice =) =) =)
